Velaflora Oversized Floral Wool Rug

Velaflora Oversized Floral Wool Rug transforms botanical imagery into a bold floor-level statement. Large floral forms are set against a dramatic composition, with botanical green, mustard, terracotta, off white, navy blue and golden brown creating a rich palette. Made from New Zealand wool with hand tufted construction, Velaflora is intended for interiors where floral artwork should have a strong presence without losing a refined handcrafted character.

Oversized Floral Design

The defining quality of Velaflora is its large-scale floral pattern. Oversized blooms create a sense of visual drama and allow the rug to function almost like artwork spread across the floor. The scale of the floral forms makes the design particularly effective when the surrounding furniture is relatively calm and the rug is given enough visible space to be appreciated.

The floral language also gives the rug a natural connection to interiors that use botanical references, warm wood, textured fabrics or curated artwork. The design can become the starting point for a room’s accent palette, with selected green, mustard or terracotta details repeated in smaller quantities around the space.

New Zealand Wool & Hand Tufted Construction

Velaflora is made from New Zealand wool using hand tufted construction. The material specification provides a warm, tactile textile character, while the construction is suited to developing the large floral composition with controlled areas of color and shape.

For an artistic floral rug, the relationship between material and design is important. Wool gives the surface a natural visual depth, while hand tufting supports the handcrafted appearance that distinguishes the piece from a simple printed floor covering.

Color Story & Decorative Mood

The specified palette includes botanical green, mustard, terracotta, off white, navy blue and golden brown. The color mood is bold contrast, organic and vibrant. These colors create a layered botanical impression with enough contrast for the flowers to remain visually defined.

Because the palette includes both warm and cooler tones, the rug can connect different elements within a room. Off white can work with light upholstery, while golden brown and terracotta can relate to wood and warm finishes. Botanical green and navy can be echoed through smaller decorative details.

Size & Rectangular Format

Available sizes include 10×10, 9×12, 9×9, 8×11, 8×10, 8×8, 7×10, 7×7, 6×9, 6×6, 5×8, 5×7, 5×5 and 4×6. The multiple size options allow the same floral design to be considered for different room dimensions and furniture layouts.

In larger living rooms, a larger format can allow the floral composition to become a central feature. In bedrooms and smaller zones, a more compact size can introduce the artwork without occupying the entire visual field.

Styling by Room

Living Room

Velaflora can anchor a seating arrangement and establish the room’s decorative palette. Simpler upholstery can help the oversized flowers remain the focus.

Bedroom

The floral artwork can bring a more expressive layer to a bedroom. Consider pairing it with understated bedding and natural textures so the rug remains visually clear.

Lounge & Office

In a lounge or office, the rug can add personality and an artistic botanical reference while maintaining a sophisticated material character.
